Hillier and Reid raising a little hell...

And making those downtown Toronto Elitist Champagne socialists oh so happy:
...federal Conservative MP Scott Reid and provincial Tory MPP Randy Hillier, plan to reveal the details of their proposed constitutional amendment today at Queen's Park in Toronto. Essentially, they want to introduce private members' bills in their respective legislatures that would, if passed, insert property rights into the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

"This is a very unique amendment," Hillier said Wednesday. "It would provide substantive protection for everybody who owns property."

Reid echoed the sentiment: "This is way of correcting a very serious wrong."(link)

Let's see what excuses the Liberals, NDP and Bloc manage to dream up to oppose this.

Kim Jong II is a Lazy, Fat, Smelly, Lying, Tyrant... and his sunglasses suck.

The North’s military warned that it would fire at South Korean border towns if Seoul continued to allow activists to launch propaganda leaflets toward the communist country, ...

“South Korea’s traitor puppet regime must recognize the seriousness of the situation and immediately stop anti-(North Korea) psychological warfare,” the KCNA said.(link)
Feels good to live in Country where "Proganda" can be said without fear of reprisals...

Human Rights Tribunals notwithstanding.

Elections Canada Corruption

Knows No Bounds.

I won't speculate on what the details of these charges are, but if they continue to be about the legendary "in-and-out" affair, I wonder so very VERY much why the numbers of Opposition MPs that used similar accounting procedures for years are not receiving the same levels of scrutiny.

I say fight this. Fight it in court. Fight it in the media. Fight, Fight, Fight.

Multicultural Silence

PARIS — French President Nicolas Sarkozy declared Thursday that multiculturalism had failed, joining a growing number of world leaders or former leaders who have condemned it.

“My answer is clearly yes, it is a failure..."

...British Prime Minister David Cameron, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Australia’s ex-prime minister John Howard and Spanish ex-premier Jose Maria Aznar have also recently said multicultural policies have not successfully integrated immigrants.(link)

Harper's Laurier Style Compromise

The dream of reviving les Nordiques as a proud Canadian NHL franchise is taking a big step forward as Quebec City and the government of Quebec will split the cost of a new arena 50-50, cutting out the federal Tories in a region where they hold six seats.

(...)

The party has carved out a small base of support in the region under Prime Minister Stephen Harper but polls show that could shrink considerably if Ottawa refuses to fund the arena.(link)
I find that highly unlikely. If anything this couldn't have worked out better for the federal Tories.

The arena will be built - which means there's no blame on Harper for not coughing up the cash. That was, in my opinion, the real concern in Quebec.

I think, if anything, Laurier would approve. Harper has chosen a solution which in the end will satisfy neither French or English Canada: don't fund anyone's sports stadiums...

What an Obamanation

President Obama's budget director Jack Lew in a Sunday opinion piece outlined some off the “tough choices” Obama is willing to make to cut spending in his 2012 budget request due out on Feb. 14.
... In total, the $775 million in detailed cuts fall far short of demands by congressional Republicans and will do little toward tackling the deficit, which is estimated to be $1.5 trillion this year by the Congressional Budget Office. The cuts are in addition to a five-year spending freeze which the administration says will save $400 billion over the next decade.(link)

I want to cry, but this is just so silly I can't help but laugh. Obama has just slapped the Republicans and any of his critics in the face...

No wait he didn't slap them - he pooped on their faces and started dancing an Irish Jig over them in defiance...

Ya that visual is a lot more like it...

After all of Obama's conversion rhetoric... He was a changed man we were told... HE WAS EVEN READING A REAGAN MEMOIR!... He would even make cuts in the size of government would you believe!...

And what does he do?

He proposes a huge, massive, jaw dropping 0.02% cut in spending.

Sorry that's a 0.02% cut on top of the 1% a year reduction in future spending!

Obama must've had a former career as a comedian, if not he should think about it!
